Greenvolt gets commercial PF
KKR-backed Greenvolt has signed a €348m project financing package via UniCredit, Erste Group Bank, Raiffeisen, Siemens Bank, Societe Generale and its Romanian subsidiary BRD for the 253.1MW Ialomita wind scheme.
The financing comprises a term loan and ancillary facilities.
The Ialomita wind farm is due for operations in 2027 and will be owned by Engie, which in December agreed to purchase the project from Greenvolt in a transaction worth €472.3m, according to a statement last year by Greenvolt to the Portuguese Securities Market Commission.
The project's revenues are partly secured under a 15-year contract for difference and operations are scheduled for 2027. The sale to Engie fits into Greenvolt's asset rotation strategy.
